Thank you for letting me be the author. In my opinion, the people of Acheh do deserve to be free, because, to have freedom is everybody's right, and no one can take it away. As I have read from the news, the Achehnese have suffered so much. For example, the natural resources such as oil and gas were pull out without living benefit to the people in Acheh. Less than 1% go to the people and at least 99% go to Jakarta, the capital of indonesia. This is very unfair as if the property of Achehnese were robbed. Plus, I believe the indonesian government/millitary have done a lot of bad things to these people, they had violated so many human rights and have very bad history when it comes to humanataria. That's what I know, anyway thanks for giving me the chance...good day!

I agree with you, and we in aceh don't have as much freedom as anyone else in indonesia
It is unbelievable to see the reaction of some Atjehnese back in Acheh, I am quite surprise to see their reaction of how they view freedom today. People no longer want freedom! All they wished for is peace! I think it is trully corrupted! No one wants to sacrifice for freedom anymore! The nation of Atjeh wanted to live in peace, even if they have to suffer from hunger and illness! They think least about living up to their culture and keeping up with their heritage! Someday, as we all can began to see- Atjeh will no longer be the country striving for its independence, just like the rest of the tribes in the Sumatran Island...After all.. without Atjeh Indonesia will definitely be corrupted.
Today, the people who never had any family member or loved one tortured to death by the Indonesian militant, are the ones who truly admires the current position of the Atjehnese government!No more fight Freedom!No more war! Its exactly like seeing your mother being raped to death and not doing anything about it, simply because "we" do not want to be injured or hurt...simply because we dont want to see chaos!...Atjeh will always be a chaotic nation if it never regained its freedom back! Its heritage will be dimished! Its language! Its culture! and most importanly its religion! All because of the people who sees no importance of their future generation!Who sees no importance of their true indentity!

What the hell man, i think aceh should stick with indonesia. indonesia is a nice country and we want peace, we cannot bear aceh separate with us, please don't live, together we'll build indonesia to be stronger that the rest of the world!!! come on dong!
prianto you should do more research of the so called "indonesia" of yours and find out what kind of human rights the have violated!

I do not blame the Achehnese for their wish to live in peace..., It was really terrible to live in Acheh during the war..., and i can say that because i experienced that myself...,
But i do not agree to anybody who said that Achehnese no longer wants freedom and nobody wants to sacrifice for Acheh's freedom anymore...,
Wanting freedom is not about having war in jungle..., its about having the war in your heart, in your soul, in your life...,
I believe there are many Achehnese keeping the war with Indon in their own way..., there are thousands of individual keeping the good faith in their heart..., passing it to their next generation...,
As long as those people stand alive in this world, then InsyaAllah the war for the Achehnese freedom will never end until we see the Verandah of Mekka stand up on its own feet...,
So for my sis and bros, the Achehnese..., keep the good faith in our heart..., be as a true Achehnese..., show to the world that eventhough we are in peace (the rest before the bigger assault) we never except indon in any aspect of our life...,
leave that indon language, back to our own..., leave that indon way of life, ours is better as it is in islamic way...,
be the true Achehnese!!!
